Dos and Don’ts while taking Spa
What to Wear
Our spa provides robes and slippers to wear while visiting the facility, as well as an assigned locker to store your personal belongings. During your treatment, we recommend that you experience body services without clothing. Our therapists are professionally trained and will ensure a level of comfort by appropriately draping areas of the body that are not a focus of the treatment. We require that swimming attire be worn in all co-ed whirlpool, sauna and steam facilities, but clothing is optional when these facilities are designated by gender. We also offer a mixed facility.
Quiet, Please
A spa facility is an oasis of serenity, relaxation and rejuvenation. To maintain this tranquil environment, we ask that you are respectful of others’ privacy, speak softly, and deactivate any disruptive communication devices, such as cell phones or pagers.

Storing Valuables
Lockers have a key or combination lock, but if you feel more comfortable, we recommend that you leave valuable personal items in the safe in your guest room, or in one of the safe deposit boxes at the front desk of the hotel.

Children
A spa is a great place to get a little alone time, so it’s best to not to bring children under 16. During your treatments, you can usually leave small children in the care of a sitter or nanny, or under the supervision of a children’s program — both of which we offer in Our 5 Star de Luxe . If children are with you, be attentive to their safety as well as their impact on the comfort and relaxation of others.

Pets
Some animals are welcome in Our 5 Star de Luxe , but should not be brought to the spa.

Sauna or Steam Time
Sauna and steam are beneficial facets of the spa experience, but should always be used in moderation. Proper usage time will vary, but there are some general guidelines that most individuals who are in good health can follow. If looking to warm and relax your muscles, we recommend 12-15 minutes in the dry heat of the sauna. The wet heat of the steam room is effective in opening pores and awakening the respiratory system; for this, we recommend a 5-6 minute timeframe.

Using Facilities
Before entering a soaking pool, swimming pool or whirlpool, always shower. When enjoying the sauna or steam, always sit on your towel and wear the plastic shoes provided by the spa.

For the most part, smoking is not allowed in Our 5 Star de Luxe spa, but there are designated areas where you can smoke.

Introduction Human Resources Management:-
In hotel industry National and International guest come who have different religion and different customs and we have deeply studied the famous below mentioned religions because Our 5 Star de Luxe would like to give the best services to all the guests to fulfill their requirement.

Hindu Religion
Hinduism: Hindu mythology is rich, multifarious, and inclusive. It portrays the terrible alongside the benevolent, the trivial alongside the cosmic, and the grotesque alongside the sublime. The earliest source of Hindu mythology is the Vedic literature, the oldest texts of which are the four Vedas, or “Books of Knowledge”: Rigveda, Yajurveda, Samaveda, and Atharvaveda. These books are the oldest Indian documents and represent the religion of the Aryan invaders of the subcontinent over the period from 1400 to 500 BC.

Because it integrates a variety of heterogeneous elements, Hinduism constitutes a complex but largely continuous whole; and, because it covers the whole of life, it has religious, social, economic, literary, and artistic aspects. Hinduism thus resists a precise definition, but a common core of characteristics most Hindus share can be identified.

One God, Many Names:
Some gods have more than one name. Shiva is also known as Shankar, Mahadev, Natraj, Mahesh amongst others. His worshippers also worship images of bull called Nandi, who was Shiva’s carrier and a unique stone design connected to Shiva called the Shiva-Lingham. Ganesh is also called Ganpati. Lord Vishnu went about preserving the world by incarnating 10 times in human forms in times of crisis, and in his every appearance he had a different form which are also worshipped as Gods. Among his appearances, he appeared as Rama, Krishna, Narsimha, Parsuram and Buddha. Krishna also has different names, Gopal; Kishan; Shyam and other names. There are also Gods who can change their forms, such as Parvati who can change into Kali or Durga.
Not all of these Gods are worshipped by all Hindus, with some Hindus worshipping specific Gods or Goddesses, and some of these have predominance in some regions. Hindus also worship Gods according to their personal needs; those engaged in wrestling, body building and other physical sports worship Hanuman, who in Hindu legends was an ape with lot of physical strength; and those in business worship Lakshmi, Goddess of wealth.
Though these Hindus worship different idols, there are many Hindus who believe in one God and perceive in these different and Goddesses as different images of the same one God. According to their beliefs, idolatry is the wrong interpretation of Hinduism.

Food
Since the most of the Hindus do not prefer to eat non-vegetarian food, we are careful while in food preparation for them. At certain times in a year they also do fasting like the Durganavami festival so we prepare special Navratri meal for such guests and while not fasting avoid use of onion and garlic in their food such festivals as well as maintained in our 5 star de Luxe hotel. A minority of Hindus eat it. We have to be careful during our service to our guest. We would like to serve our guest what they would like to eat.

Muslim Religion:-
Islam (Arabic: الإسلام; al-’islām ; pronounced: [ɪs.ˈlæːm]) is a monotheistic Abrahamic religion originating with the teachings of the Islamic prophet Muhammad, a seventh century Arab religious and political figure. The word Islam means “submission”, or the total surrender of oneself to God (Arabic: الل, Allāh). An adherent of Islam is known as a Muslim, meaning “one who submits [to God]“.There are between 1 billion to 1.8 billion Muslims, making Islam the second-largest religion in the world, after Christianity.
Muslims believe that God revealed the Qur’an to Muhammad, God’s final prophet, and regard the Qur’an and the Sunnah (words and deeds of Muhammad) as the fundamental sources of Islam. They do not regard Muhammad as the founder of a new religion, but as the restorer of the original monotheistic faith of Abraham, Moses, Jesus, and other prophets. Islamic tradition holds that Jews and Christians distorted the revelations God gave to these prophets by either altering the text, introducing a false interpretation, or both.
Islam includes many religious practices. Adherents are generally required to observe the Five Pillars of Islam, which are five duties that unite Muslims into a community. In addition to the Five Pillars, Islamic law (sharia) has developed a tradition of rulings that touch on virtually all aspects of life and society. This tradition encompasses everything from practical matters like dietary laws and banking to warfare and welfare.

Almost all Muslims belong to one of two major denominations, the Sunni (85%) and Shi’a (15%). The schism developed in the late 7th century following disagreements over the religious and political leadership of the Muslim community. Islam is the predominant religion in Northern Africa and the Middle East, as well as in major parts of Asia. Large communities are also found in China, the Balkan Peninsula in Eastern Europe and Russia. There are also large Muslim immigrant communities in other parts of the world, such as Western Europe. About 20% of Muslims live in Arab countries, 30% in the Indian subcontinent and 15.6% in Indonesia, the largest Muslim country by population.

The ingredients which are forbidden in this religion we also have to careful while we serve our Muslim category guests.
Pork, lard or any porcine substance, Gelatine from animal source which is not halal
Meat that is not slaughtered in the prescribed Islamic way
Meat coming from a lawful animal which died before slaughter
Blood (direct or indirect)
Any food or drink with alcohol in it (all intoxicant and hazardous drinks)
Any human substance or part
All carnivorous animals and birds of prey

Buddhism Religion
The Religion of Buddha: The religion of Buddha began in 563 B.C. If you believe in Buddha, you are called a Buddhist. Buddhists believe in karma and rebirth. Karma determines in which form a person is reborn and rebirth is a second birth. Also, Buddhists believe in the Three Universal Truths.
First, everything in life is constantly changing and impermanent. Second, everything is unsatisfactory in life because everything is impermanent. Finally, there is the Third Universal Truth which means that there is no eternal soul. What is called the “self “is just a bunch of changing characteristics.
Buddha was a real person who taught this religion. He lived to the age of 80. Buddha was a prince, better known as Siddhartha Gautam. The young prince taught many things. One of which are The Four Noble Truths. The Four Noble Truths are along the same lines as the Three Universal Truths. Buddha’s life ended in about 483 B.C., though Buddhism is still continued today.

Christian Religion:
Christianity is the world’s biggest religion, with about 2.1 billion followers worldwide. Christianity is a monotheistic religion centered on the life and teachings of Jesus of Nazareth as presented in the New Testament.
Its followers, known as Christians, believe that Jesus is the son of God and the Messiah (or Christ) prophesied in the Old Testament, the part of their scriptures they have in common with Judaism. To Christians, Jesus Christ is a teacher, the model of a virtuous life, the revealer of God, and most importantly the saviour of humanity who suffered, died, and was resurrected in order to bring about salvation from sin. Christians maintain that Jesus ascended into heaven, and most denominations teach that Jesus will return to judge the living and the dead, granting everlasting life to his followers. Christians describe the New Testament account of Jesus’ ministry as the Gospel, or “good news”.
Like Judaism and Islam, Christianity is classified as an Abrahamic religion (see also Judeo-Christian). It began as a Jewish sect in the eastern Mediterranean. The disciples were first called Christians (Greek Χριστιανός) by or about 44 AD,[10], meaning “followers of Christ”, in Antioch. Ignatius of Antioch was the first Christian to use the label in self-reference. The earliest recorded use of the term Christianity (Greek Χριστιανισμός) was also by Ignatius of Antioch, around AD 100. By the 4th century A.D. Christianity had become the dominant religion in the Roman Empire. During the Middle Ages, most of the remainder of Europe was christianized, with Christians also being a (sometimes large) religious minority in the Middle East, North Africa, and parts of India. Following the Age of Discovery, through missionary work and colonisation, Christianity spread to the Americas and the rest of the world.
As of the early 21st century, Christianity has between 1.5 billion and 2.1 billion adherents, representing about a quarter to a third of the world’s population. It is the state religion of at least fifteen countries.

Food
The Christians eat veg. & non vegetarian, but they do not like to eat spicy food so we also care that food should not be very spicy and we will care what they would like to prefer.

Introduction about Jewish Religion:
Judaism is one of the oldest religion and was founded over 3500 years ago in the Middle East. Jews believe that God appointed the Jews to be his chosen people in order to set an example of holiness and ethical behavior to the world. Jews believe that there is a single God who not only created the universe, but with whom every Jew can have an individual and personal relationship.

Today, 14 million people identify themselves as Jewish. Modern Judaism is a complex phenomenon that incorporates both a nation and a religion, and often combines strict adherence to ritual laws with a more liberal attitude towards religious belief.

Food
Observant Jews should only eat kosher meat or poultry that has been killed in the approved way, this method of killing is often attacked by animal rights activists as barbaric blood-thirsty ritual slaughter. Jews are prohibited to eat pork etc. Usually they eat non-vegetable food.
Jews say that Jewish law on killing animals is designed to reduce the pain and distress that the animal suffers.

Introduction about Human Behavior:
We have also studied the Human Behavior because we are in a service industry where we meet with the different people who are having different nature and to understand that we are having a famous philosophy here:

Animal typology by Gary Smaley and Steven K. Scott:

The 5 minute Personality Test
Instructions: on each of the ten horizontal lines, put the number 4 by the word that best describes you in that line; a 3 by the word that describes you. You will then have the next best word; and a 1 by the word that least describes you. You will then have one 4,one 3, one 2, and one 1 on each line. For example, one choice for the first line of words would be:

(3) Likes Having Authority (4yes ) Enthusiastic (2) Sensitive Feelings (1) Likes

Instructions

This is one test you cannot fail. Be honest, and you will discover both your dominant and sub-dominant personality types. None of us are totally one type, but rather a unique combination of all four personality types, with one or two usually taking priority over the others. Each column represents a specific personality type. The column with the highest score is your dominant personality type, while the column with the second highest number will be your sub-dominant type. These two scores reveal the most accurate picture of your natural strengths and weaknesses.

Now plot your total score for each vertical column (L,O,G,B) from the previous page on the Personality Strengths Survey Chart below. Each letter stand for a particular personality type. The cloumn with the highest score is your dominant personality type, while the column with the second highest number is your sub dominant type. While you are a combination of all four perosnality types, the two types with the highest scores reveal the most accurate picture of your natural inclinations, strengths, and weakenss.

L stands for Lion:
Lions are leaders, bosses, entrepreneurs (or believe to be it). They are sharp observers, but bad listeners. They like to dominate and take fast decisions, sometimes without really having enough information for it. They like to solve problems and hate to waste time. They are goal-oriented, self-starters and like to take initiative as well as responsibility. They have natural perseverance. They are efficient in managing a lot in a short time, love challenges, variety and change. They need freedom, authority and progress. They have a lot of self-confidence and like to depend on themselves. Logic is more important than emotions. They find quickly a good rapport with other people, especially when they can dominate them.

The dominating part of their brain is the right great-brain hemisphere.
Weaknesses:
They get bored quickly and have problems to relax. They are impatient, very direct (sometimes even rude and impolite), bad listeners and always want to get to the matter immediately. They expect from themselves and others a lot and are often impulsive and demanding. Projects are more important for them than people and they have the tendency to overrun people that are slower than themselves. They need praise for their accomplishments. They hate to waste time and are good in initiating communication, but then get impatient quickly. Their way of handling matters looks often like dictatorship. Logic comes before emotions and feelings.

These weaknesses can be overcome or balanced by newly learned behaviours, skills and knowledge.

How should Lions be led or handled?
It is best to let them define their own challenging goals, with which we can agree also. Than s/he does not need a lot of help and motivation, since s/he is a „self-runner“. In sales s/he loves winners lists and competitions. S/he is hard in taking, as well as in hitting.

O stands for Otter:
Otters are passionate, fun loving and are great motivators. They like to talk and talk a lot. They are excellent networkers with a lot of good connections.
They know many people, which again know many people. They want to participate in important decisions. They want to be liked and be popular.
It is fun to be with Otters and they are the born party tigers. They dress chic and extravagantly and drive great cars. They are optimistic and recognize good occasions. They are good communicators, always rather positive than negative, and often dramatic, even over-dramatic. Social activities and family business are important for them. They win others with their passion and their gift to motivate. They build-up relations to other people very quickly.
The dominant part of their brain is the right side of their limbic system.

Weaknesses:
They lack discipline and they are oftentimes unrealistic (too optimistic). They are absolutely not detail-oriented. They are visionary, naturally disorganized and listen more to their feelings than to logic. They react quickly to situations, are passionate, but hate boring work. They are fast-living, people-oriented, need prestige, applause and confirmation. They focus more the future and like to talk themselves, rather than to listen to somebody and the follow intuitively their gut-feeling. When their needs are not satisfied, they have the tendency to attack others, to „bite“ with words. They are more applaus-oriented than on realizing goals. The quickly established relations to other people are often superfluous and not meant to last.

How should Otters be led or handled?
They constantly need “strokes” or pads on their backs, want to be “pampered” and like others to tell them, how great they are. Their tolerance for frustration is rather small and when things don`t work out, they quickly give-up. In sales rankings are only good for them, when they lead them, otherwise they are counter-productive. Since they have the tendency to want too much at a given time, it is recommended to keep them on a short leash (if possible without them realizing it) and always bring them back to the main goals. If you give them enough “sugar bread”, you may also from time to time wave with the „whip“.

G stands for Golden Retriever (a very gentle dog race):
Golden Retrievers are the nicest people and the best friends that you can imagine – always ready to do us favors (even when it means problems and pain for themselves). Their „helper-syndrome“ and their need for harmony is absolutely natural for them. They like to listen to other people. They depend mainly on their feelings and their intuition, which are well developed. They like to stick which what they know and change things only very slowly. They are oriented towards the past and to tradition.
The dominant part of their brain is the reptilian brain.

Weaknesses:
Golden Retrievers like to do well for everybody and hate to take their own decisions, because they are afraid to hurt other peoples feeling. Their rather slow way of living can bring them problems in to-days fast changing time.

How should Golden Retrievers be led or handled?
Because they have such a winningly nice personality, they want to make it easy for their leaders, when things are explained to them properly and what is expected of them. In sales they win their clients by sympathy, but they cannot handle much pressure. It is important for them that a “win-win” situation can be established, because they don`t want that their client is not happy with them. In case delivery cannot be done on time, they are the born „client reconciliators“

B stands for Beavers:
Beavers are people that handle everything in a very rational and conscious way. Everything has to be logical and they tend to be perfectionists. They like Check-lists and proceed systematically and mostly in a linear way, when they have to accomplish a task. They are often rather introvert and don`t easily find access to other people. They win by convincing. Their rational mind comes before their feelings. We find them mainly in the professions of Engineers, lawyers, accountants, mathematicians etc.
The dominating part of their brain is the left great brain hemisphere.

Weaknesses:
Beavers have problems to take decisions, since they fear in their „perfectionist trap“ to make mistakes. They need quite a long time to establish real relationships, which on the other hand have the tendency to last a long time.

How should Beavers be led or handled?
Beavers are perfectionists, which by no means want to make mistakes and which have a big need of distance. They need much longer than all the other types to get “warm” with a client or other co-workers and to build up trust. But these relations have the tendency to hold better and longer. If you can show them the inner logic than you can be quite strict with them. In sales by no means put pressure on them if they need more visits and more time with clients until s/he can close a sale. But s/he will have less stornations.

Marketing is the process of planning and executing the conception , pricing, promotion and distribution of ideas, goods and service to create exchange that satisfy individuals and organizational objectives.

Objectives of Market oriented Strategic planning of Hotel Machhapuchhre.
Since our 5 Star de Luxe is only one five star de Luxe hotel in South Asia we need a special marketing strategy to achieve our organizational goal. Marketing is a cause to satisfy the customer needs and sales is an effect, which will lead us finally to profit. Since we are a private company and our primary motive is to earn profit but along with that we want to flourish Asian culture as well as Nepali culture in the world. Our 5 Star de Luxe has a plan to attract the Jetset to Nepal, so we are doing strategic planning as well as we are aware of the external environment like customers need, taste, life style, income and purchasing habits are not always same and we are prepared to control such external environment and we are intelligently planning to give good service to our respective customers.

We have objective profit and growth, and to achieve these objectives we have skills, good opportunities and resources which together will lead us to achieve our goal.

Planning does not count until and unless it is executed into action. Controlling and motivation also plays a vital role in organization. Since the project is first launched in South Asia and we need to do much for that so we are starting with a limited number of goals so that we can do best stressing our main point of focus. As McKinsey has focused on his 7 ” S” frame work we also need to keep in mind that these 7 “ S “ can be helpful for us to achieve our goal. Strategy, Shared values, Structure, System, Style, Skill and Staff these must go hand in hand so that we can be successful in our plans. So marketing strategy is a basic tool for any organization in building any company and it is a must for our project.

Introduction to Leadership Skills:
McGregor theory X and Y:
This is the theory that is based on the belief of the individual. McGregor said that a boss of the company believed that his workers are bumps and are not worthy and not obedient then they slowly turned like the boss thought and the company was in loss.McGregor explained theory Y as opposed to the theory X. The boss believed the workers are worthy, they are obedient and are working hard for the company and the workers turned the same and the company was able to earn profit. This theory concludes that the workers must be treated nicely and should give responsibilities so they can feel themselves as part of company, and be worthy. So to receive much benefit workers should be treated accourding to McGregors theory Y.

Modern Leadership skill: As we have discussed about the old leadership skills, which are like in the military, now we are discussing modern leadership skills, which are context, craft and culture.

Context: The world is going through rapid development and changes, the working context has also been changed .The boss and leadership skills have to be modified as per the need of the time, because the worker and their working style has to be changed .

Crafts: Since the workers are changing their working style, the leader must craft the new leadership skills which will sucessfully lead to the success. He needs to formulate new plans, policies and new motivating skills so as to have work done smoothly and use all the abilities of the workers.

Culture: It is also one of the most important factor which determines the leadership. Their need to be a good culture of the company as well as the leader himself to achieve their goal. Good culture leads the worker in good direction. The boss wants his staff to be punctual, creative, hard working and labourious. First he needs to have his own qualities as a role model, which will influence the culture and makes his staff as per his own job.
In case of emergency, the culture must tolerate that the old 3 C can be applied.

Introduction to Finance:

Finance is the most important resource for starting any business. Without finance it is impossible to establish any business. Since we are planning to open a 5 star deluxe hotel, finance is our great challenge.600 million dollars is not a small amount of money and to collect this amount is a great challenge. We are putting our proposals in the banks like Credit Suisse, UBS, and American Express Bank etc. To collect the finances we are using our personal contacts, public relation and networks. And we are also working with venture capitalists or business angels for the investment in our project. Further more if we are in sort of capital we will issue share at the stock exchange to get the capital for starting.
